254 Days After, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello To Resume After Prof. Fagbohun Exit

The newly appointed 9th Substantive Vice-Chancellor of the Lagos State University, LASU, Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello is expected to assume duty on Wednesday, September 22nd.

This ends the one-month extension granted to the acting Vice-chancellor, Prof. Oyedamola Oke, on August 21st.

Oke, the then deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, was elected by the University’s Senate on January 11th as the acting Vice-Chancellor after the exit of Olanrewaju Fagbohun.

At the Senate election supervised by the provost of the University’s College of Medicine supervised by the protem Chairman, Abiodun Adewuya, Oke was elected as the acting vice-chancellor after polling 61 votes as against his colleague and deputy vice-chancellor (Academic), Wahab Ellias, who polled 51 votes.
