...allays fears of plan to increase school fees

The Vice Chancellor, Prof Olanrewaju Fagbohun, has charged Students Leaders in the University to unequivocally say no to indiscipline among their colleagues in the University. He stated this during the September edition of his monthly breakfast meeting with the students leaders.

"I charge you to join the University Management in saying a loud no to indiscipline among the students. We can only remain an excellent institution if we have discipline. We condemn cultism, rape and general indiscipline in any form and I am happy that you leaders are not condoning them either ", he said.

Prof. #Fagbohun further allayed the fear of the students that the management has increased or is planning to increase school fees urging them to disregard such rumours.

"I assure you that there is nothing like increase in school fees. However, I urge you to continually sensitize your colleagues to pay their school fees at the right time."

This month's discussion between the University Management and Students Leaders centered on issues of Students Health and School Fees Insurance Policy, Provision of Students Union Bus, Discipline, amongst others.

In his opening remarks, the Vice Chancellor commended the Students Union Executives, led by Comrade Samuel Olalere on constantly working with the University Management to ensure the stability of the institution and the academic calender. He also praised the level of transparency and regard for due process with which the students union go about their business.

The meeting also had in attendance other members of the University Management, the Dean Students Affairs and other officials of the University.
