With over five hundred students/leaders present for a quality training session, it was indeed a tonic needed to build sound minds, mould the character of the agents of change and guarantee a better tomorrow.

The students leaders which include the Students' Union Members, Presidents of faculties, representatives of registered Students' Association and Heads of classes, HoCs were at the 3-in-1 building of the Faculty of Education, that also had in attendance, former students' leaders of the prestigious Lagos State University, Sulaiman Olawale Arigbabuwo [aka Bruno], Dr. Hakeem Ajobandi, immediate past Executive Chairman Amuwo Odofin Com. Ayo Adewale and Khairat Animashaun.

The theme was Raising Quality Students for Academic Excellence packaged by the Quality Assurance Implementation Committee [QAIC].

Other distinguished trainers at the all important training include: the Director of #GNS Prof. M. #Adetona and the University Chief Security Officer, Mr. Kolade K. O, simc, the Chair and co-Chair of #LASU-QAIC, Distinguished Professors Peter #Okebukola and Amidu #Sanni.

At the end of the programme which lasted over over 2 hours, a succinctly written communique was excellently delivered by Dr. #Hunjo of the Department of English, Faculty of Arts, #LASU.

1. Aluta should be reasonable and balanced with Academic Work while Student Unionism should serve as a training avenue for leadership outside.

2. Security on campus should be a collective responsibility of all.

3. Students should think about life after school with quality among others.

The Lagos State University Vice Chancellor, Prof. 'Lanre #Fagbohun, was ably represented by the Dean, Postgraduate School, Prof. J. A Olagunju.

Since the inauguration of the LASU-QAIC, it has been a chain/series of quality training at the University for all the teaching and non-teaching members of staff in order to "Quality Assure" their activities.
